
On 26 August 2019, Asst. Prof. Dr.Varunyupa Roykulcharoen, the president of Srisavarindhira Thai Red Cross Institute of Nursing, officially presided over the programme of the academic exchange on “A Discovery of Disaster Nursing with Japan Partnership” and welcomed a group of faculties and nursing students from the Japanese Red Cross Toyota College of Nursing, Japan at the room no. 404, 4th floor, Srisavarindhira Thai Red Cross Institute of Nursing.
In the programme, there were 3 special lectures: disaster nursing education at the JRCTCN, disaster nursing education at the STIN and TRC disaster management in communities, which were presented by guest speakers: Professor Yoko Kobayashi from the Japanese Red Cross Toyota College of Nursing; Mrs.Sukanya Supudommungmee from the Relief and Community Health Bureau; and Assistant Professor Dr.Sukuma Tithiphontumrong, the Assistant President for the International Relations and Special Affairs of the STIN.
Moreover, both Thai and Japanese executives, nursing students and faculties both institutes and a number of participants from the Relief and Community Health Bureau and the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital had chances to discuss the topics related to disaster nursing education and practice, then also visited the STIN nursing laboratory, library and self-assess language learning center.
